I am an artist & film maker. My recent work R.E.G.R.E.T was selected for the annual RSA exhibition. I enjoy working with charities, poets and other creatives. I am comfortable making a film on my phone as much as I am using a Sony FS5 and Avid.
I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art as they were installing the first suite of PC’s. I travelled and worked abroad widely in my 20’s and did a lot of weird and wonderful jobs including building willow sculptures in Luxembourg and life modelling in Sydney. I returned to London in the hope of getting a sensible job and I completed my Masters in Digital animation. By this time in education you couldn’t escape technology and every room silently buzzed.
The sensible job still didn’t come and instead I found myself working on commissions for Channel 4 with my digital animations, while also running a small business at Portobello market. I loved living in London but always missed the East coast, friends and family. It was family that took me home and I returned to settle down and have my two daughters.
I teach Media production at North East Scotland College. I enjoy working at college and sharing my skills. I have led many screen education projects locally and have been involved in community filmmaking in Aberdeen.
